Understanding Experience
In «ProTanki», Experience Points (XP, not to be confused with the Hornet Railgun (XP) combo) are numbers which represent players' progression in game. As your experience increases, you unlock new Ranks, gaining access to various equipment, game modes, Maps, and mechanics.
Upon registration, every new player starts with 0 experience, holding the initial rank of Recruit. While the highest achievable rank is Generalissimo, requiring an impressive 1,400,000 experience points, players can continue earning experience points limitlessly even after reaching this prestigious rank.
Experience can be acquired by completing specific objectives in battles or by purchasing 1000 Experience Points in the Garage. Moreover, obtaining a Premium account, Up Score or a Newbie Pass grants a percentage bonus of Experience Points earned.
Score
Score is a measure of the amount of progress a player has contributed to their own team within a battle.
Score is used across all battles to distribute battle funds proportionally among players. However, the metric is not explicitly shown in deathmatches, as its essence lies in mirroring the player's number of kills.
The amount of experience earned by a player prior to the effect of multipliers is equal to the amount of score attained in battle.
NOTE: Despite its potentially misleading name, Up Score does not increase the amount of score you gain in team battles in order to maintain fairness in fund distribution. Instead, it boosts overall experience by 30% across all battles.
Table of characteristics
The table below demonstrates the various objectives that yield score (and by extension, experience) and the corresponding number of points for completing them:
