History of the game

On July 11, 2025, the game «ProTank» celebrated its fourth anniversary. Since the project launched, many events have taken place and a wealth of valuable experience has been accumulated. Development continues, and in this section you can read about what came before and how it all started.

Skyboxes

Skyboxes are the background environments surrounding the battlefield that set the map’s atmosphere. They do not affect gameplay, but they make the battle’s visuals more realistic and vibrant. In this section you will find information about the different skyboxes used in the game.

Secret rooms

Secret rooms are hidden areas that used to be present on certain maps. Some believed these rooms were intended to help study the maps more closely. These locations were hard-to-reach spots kept out of plain sight.
