Introduction

On October 30, 2023, the Halloween celebration was announced in ProTanki. However, the holiday did not pass without unexpected surprises. Developers revealed that during development and testing, a strange error occurred. Because of it, tankers could encounter “living” corpses equipped with a super repair kit. This phenomenon was called **“Dead Hunt”** — the first of its kind in ProTanki history.

That same night, shortly after midnight (around 00:30 Kyiv time), the first sightings of the “living” corpses were recorded. They appeared as Titans with Firebirds, similar to the ones hidden in the secret room of the “Skirmish” map. These enemies had extremely durable armor and multiple lives. In battles, players encountered them under names such as Dead_Hunt_01, Dead_Hunt_02, Dead_Hunt_03, Dead_Hunt_04, and so on.

The hunt for the undead usually lasted two days. Sometimes, administrators also appeared in the form of the undead, attempting to investigate and eliminate the issue.

November 4–5, 2023	The first “Dead Hunt” lasted for two days. Most often, they could be found on festive maps, but occasionally they appeared on regular maps as well. The undead only spawned in DM mode.
November 2–3, 2024	During the second “Dead Hunt,” battles took place exclusively on themed Halloween maps. Players who tried to banish the undead back to the otherworld noticed that they had a limit of five lives. Additionally, a few dozen lucky tankers encountered the mysterious Godmode_ON during the hunt.
