Complaining about a player in battle

Imagine you are in an interesting battle. Suddenly, someone present starts breaking the game rules, by using a third-party software, or through sabotage. In this case, you should send a complaint against them:

All you have to do is type in the battle chat (general or team) the following command:

/vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME

and press Enter.

For example, if the offender's nickname is Godmode_ON, you should write:

If more than 20-30% of the players in a battle complain about an offender, for the moderators, the offender's nickname and the battle they're in will be highlighted in bright yellow in the battle list.

The Moderator will take some time to get to the bottom of the situation. It is often very difficult to know exactly what the problem is. Therefore, mentioning the reason for the report will greatly help the moderator understand the situation. However, it should be remembered that a player may be punished with a ban for falsely calling a moderator. The offender is the player who does not follow the game rules.

It is important to remember a few points:

• All you have to do is type the command /vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME and hit Enter. After that, all you have to do is wait.
• Only complain about the offender with the /vote command when in battle. In the lobby chat this command has no effect.
• The command /vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME must be written strictly in this form. Any mismatch (an extra space, a dot before the slash or a slash \ instead of /) will cause the command to fail. If the command worked successfully, then the message The Complaint has been successfully sent will appear at the top of the screen and in the game chat.
• The moderator only sees the battle and the events in it from the moment they join it. He has no activity log, so it is important to complain about the offender quickly.
• The offender's name is only highlighted in yellow if enough people have complained about them. You should not think that one or two complaints will be enough.
• A complaint is valid as long as the offender and all those who complained are in still in the battle. If someone leaves, the complaint is reset.
• You should not send complaints about players who do not break the rules. All complaints are logged and the moderators check everything thoroughly. If you make a false complaint you risk being punished.
• When the game moderator has completed analysis of the complaints, the message Analysis of complaints by the moderator has been completed will appear in the game chat. Further action is up to the moderators.

If it so happens that a moderator did not get to your battle, you can leave evidence of violations on ProTanki Discord Server in a special channel #🚨violations under the Communications category.


Later you will have to select, which language the rules of the game were violated (Chat violations).


To start with, you have to be completely sure that the player is breaking the rules. Once you open #🚨violations channel, fill out the report with the needed info:

After submitting your report, you will see a sub-channel with your report details, only you and the Game Moderators can access this channel:

You have to wait until it gets claimed by a Game Moderator, then he/she might ask you some questions about the offender.

1. You need to collect evidence. The best proof is a video from the game that clearly shows the infringement. A series of screenshots can also serve as proof. This should be taken into account:

• Screenshots and videos taken no more than a week ago are accepted.
  • For battle violations, evidence will only be accepted from inside the battle where the violation is happening, as an "outside" video, i.e. from the general chat, does not give an indication of what the player was doing wrong.
• The quality of the video and screenshots must allow easy reading of the nicknames and seeing the ranks of the combatants. The video must not be edited.
• When creating a video to identify sabotage, the player may not violate the rules of the game himself. All complaints of sabotage will be dealt with in consideration of ALL battle participants, without the exception of the creator of the video.

Sabotage

Requirements for submitted videos:

• Actions intended to interfere with the team that the User is fighting for: the video must be between 5 and 15 minutes long. The video must clearly show what the player was doing, the picture of the battle must be as complete as possible (e.g. often standing on pause, deliberately ignoring opponents taking away the flag, not helping to deliver the enemy flag, shooting at his own, pushing, turning over, not responding to requests to move away from him, etc., etc.). Also remember to show battle statistics, using the Tab) key.
• Collusion (teaming) with players from the opposing team: the video should be between 5 and 15 minutes long. Collusion must be shown, not a single incident, but several moments (e.g. not shooting the opponent, standing on the opponent's base with their flag, etc.). Combat statistics also play an important role. When reporting, remember to include the nicknames of all players who were colluding. This will speed up the processing of your complaint.

Requirements for submitting screenshots:

• Intentional omission: need to provide screenshots with battle statistics and a time difference of 3 to 5 minutes where the player's omission can be seen.

Using third-party software (cheats)

Requirements for submitted videos:

The video provided must clearly show that the player is using third party software. The nickname of the offender must also be visible. The length of the video should not exceed 15 minutes. Also make sure to copy the link to the battle where you encountered the cheater.

The screenshots should clearly show that the player is using third party software. Please remember that in-game chat is circumstantial evidence and a judgement cannot be made on in-game chat alone.

2. Fill the report in the channel #🚨violations.

• The author of the screenshots or video must match the author of the report.
• The report must include the player's nickname and the nature of the violation.
• The report should also include evidence (screenshots or videos) and give important details and information.
  • Don't try to describe everything that happened in the most advantageous way for you. Such points are very distressing and can only lead to a delayed decision on the complaint being heard. You only need to give evidence and important details.

What happens next?

• As soon as a moderator considers that there is enough evidence to prove the player's guilt, the player will be punished (with the help of the developers or the technical support team).
• The amount of the punishment will be determined by the project administration. The penalty may be a warning, a fine in crystals, a temporary or permanent ban (blocking access to chat), or a complete block of access to the game.
• Please remember that you shouldn't expect an instant solution to your complaint. Please be patient. Violators will be punished in any case.

Attention! All evidence of violations in published posts must be preserved for at least a week (the period during which a player can appeal a punishment).

Chat Violators

Screenshots that violate chat rules (containing foul language, insults, links to malware/third-party software, phishing, etc.) should be posted in the same channel #🚨violations.

How to make a complaint sufficient enough so that it is accepted and the offender is punished:

1. First of all, the screenshot (or video) must show a violation of the Rules.

2. You need to collect evidence. The best evidence in this section may be screenshots. The quality of the screenshots should make it easy to read the names and ranks of the combatants.

• Only screenshots with open battle chat (opened by pressing Enter) are accepted.
• The screenshot must be full size (fullscreen, not modified, not edited, clear top status bar with nickname of author of screenshot, full battle chat without cuts and deletions of its parts, author of screenshot must match with author of message). Otherwise the moderator may refuse to consider the complaint.
• Screenshots will only be accepted if they are no older than 7 days are accepted for consideration.

3. You need to fill out the report, in the #🚨violations channel.

• The report must include the player's nickname and the nature of the offence.
• The report should also include evidence (screenshots).
