Pros
- Unique ability: self-healing at the expense of the opponent's health.
- Isida's beam can lock onto a target, even if it's attempting to move aside — within reasonable limits, of course
- Allied tanks can be healed as well, granting the player experience points.
- You can still shoot when your fuel is not fully reloaded
Cons
- Small ammo clip.
- Isida is relatively slow when it comes to reloading its clip.
- While reloading, the player is virtually defenceless and is forced into hiding from enemy fire.
- Isida has a short range of effectiveness, so you need to get close to the enemy in order to deal damage.
Hull combinations for Isida
It is absolutely essential to utilize the fastest hulls, such as Wasp or Hornet. Moreover, by carefully selecting or utilizing supplies, a player with Isida on a medium hull can transform into an indestructible machine of destruction. The combination with heavy hulls is justified only on small maps and/or when employing supplies.
Gamemodes for Isida
- DM: Try to use medium hulls as they provide sufficient armour to withstand lengthy combat. When playing Isida in DM, emphasize surprise tactics and take cover to reload and catch your breath.
- TDM, CTF, CP: The best strategy here is to heal allies. Take cover behind them, utilize the terrain, avoid exposing yourself, and heal the most impactful teammates—those dealing the most damage, carrying flags, capturing points.
General Tips for Isida
- Open fire only when the enemy is within your range, and stop when it moves away. Don't waste unnecessary ammo as it is limited!
- In close combat, move sideways and apply circle-strafing tactics to your enemy. It makes them harder to aim and damage you.
- Assess the situation intelligently: sometimes it's more appropriate to attack yourself rather than heal an ally, and vice versa.
- After exiting the combat, assess the situation immediately. Locate nearby opponents if you have sufficient ammo and health; otherwise, find a place to safely recharge your clip.
- Don't forget to assist frozen and ignited allied tanks, as Isida removes all negative effects.
