2023 year

14.02.2023 (Update #20)

  • An in-game nickname change pass has been made available, which costs 100,000 crystals and allows you to change your nickname up to three times.
  • Promotional codes are now available that make it easier to obtain prizes in competitions.
  • A Beginner's Pass is available, which grants 50% more experience and 100% more crystals for each battle.
  • The Cupid Kit has been reintroduced.
  • A firing error in Firebird has been fixed.
  • Shaft's shot is brought to historical values:
    • м0 - 36,3%
    • м1 - 46,1%
    • м2 - 55,8%
    • м3 - 60%
  • The mid-range paints have been rebalanced.
  • The towers of Isida and Firebird have been slightly weakened.

28.12.2022 (Update #19)

  • The Madness map has been slightly changed. There are now more crystal drops, and the positions where gold boxes drop have been aligned with those in the older version of the map.
  • Many small bugs have been fixed, but some new ones have been introduced.
  • The anti-cheat system has been significantly improved.
  • A new game mode called Assault has been added, but it is only available during the New Year event.
  • Railgun, Hornet XT, and Frost Paint weapons were introduced, but only the New Year event.

25.11.2022 (Update #18)

  • Paints with hammer protection and new kits have been added to the game.
  • Now, players no longer have to wait for updates to the list of kits as they can buy any available kit in the garage at any time.
  • Twins:
    • Projectile speed and range have been reduced by 7%.
  • Firebird:
    • Damage at maximum hit range has been reduced from 50% to 30%.
    • Turret damage has been increased by 10% on M0 to 20% on M3.
    • Reload speed has been increased by approximately 10%.
    • Energy consumption has been reduced by 10%.
  • Isida:
    • Double damage no longer grants bonus self-healing from the vampire effect.
    • The turret range has been returned to its original value when it was released, meaning Isida's range is increased by 2 units on each modification.
  • Freeze:
    • Damage at maximum hit range has been reduced from 50% to 30%.
    • Reload time has been reduced by about 10%.
  • Ricochet:
    • Energy consumption per shot has been reduced by about 7-8%.
  • Shaft:
    • Minimum damage in target mode has been increased by about 40%.
    • Maximal damage in target mode has been increased by about 8%.
    • Target range damage has been increased by around 40%.
    • Energy consumption has been decreased by 33%.
    • Speed has been increased by 5%.
    • Acceleration rate has been increased by 20%.

10.10.2022 (Update #16)

  • We have fixed a bug that prevented the game from starting on all devices running MacOS. If you are using this operating system, please redownload the client from the game's website,https://protanki.online/.
  • FreeKassa is now working again, so you can make payments using this method.
  • We have resolved the majority of the critical issues that prevented some players from playing the game, although it took some time to fix them.

14.06.2022 (Update #15)

  • Daily tasks now work if there are five or more players in the battle (instead of seven), of which now at least one must be on the enemy team (instead of two) in team mode.
  • Removed the tasks "finish the battle" and "take third or higher place in the battle" as they encouraged inappropriate behavior in battles or even fixed battles.

10.06.2022 (Update #14)

  • We finally have our own command center. Now, orders will be received from there to carry out combat missions. Yes, you read that right, there are daily quests in the game. We tried to bring them as close as possible to the form in which you saw them in the TO, but slightly redesigned them to fit the current realities (such as the lack of matchmaking, the much-increased average duration of battles compared to the TO, and so on).
  • To avoid the so-called "abuse," certain restrictions have been imposed on the tasks, which will probably not interfere with the completion of the tasks in the conditions of normal battles. Initially, the plans were to add more restrictions, but we decided to watch the players for now. If the players are conscientious, we will not have to tighten the restrictions at all, and everyone will be happy. In the future, look forward to the appearance of challenges that will complement the daily tasks in the game and make them even more rewarding for the player.
  • We slightly reduced the chance of a critical hit by Smokey. For Smokey M0, nothing has changed, but for M3, on average, it will now take one more shot to "proceed" a crit. M1 and M2 now need less than half a shot and more than half a shot on average, respectively.
  • Isida range has been reduced by 1 unit on each modification, damage has been slightly increased, healing of allies has been significantly reduced, but in proportion to the reduction in healing, the balloon consumption has been reduced when healing allies, as well as in idle mode. This means that Isis as a whole now restores the same amount of HP from the balloon, but does it slower and hits slightly harder on the contrary. The purpose of the change is to try to make healing in combat less effective and to motivate the player to choose an attack more often when they have a choice between healing an ally and attacking the enemy. At the same time, outside of the battle, Isis for the balloon restores the same amount of HP as before, which means that, formally, almost nothing has changed. Also, in the future, Isis may have the lifesteal buff she gets from DD removed, as it gives her too many advantages over other guns, making Isis too strong in drug combat, along with her other traits. (The change is experimental and will stay in the game for a couple of weeks, after which we will collect feedback from the players and decide what to do next - return it as it was, leave it as it is, or finalize it.)
  • Reworked paints. Now their resistances resemble those in TO without micro-pumping before modules are introduced into the game. All paints, starting from the rank of Major General, have been brought to a general form (maximum resistance no more than 50%, total resist no more than 100%, with the exception of some paints that still lack resistances from the Volcano or Hammer) and were slightly equal in price relative to each other. In addition, Premium paint now gives 12% resistance to all guns and mines.
  • Fixed a bug was discovered in the kits, due to which, at some ranks, fewer kits were available to players than they should. This error could not be detected for a long time due to conflicting incoming data, but now it has finally been noticed and eliminated.
  • Fixes of several minor bugs that are not worth mentioning.
  • Among other things, the chat is now available only from the rank of "Corporal".

25.05.2022 (Update #13)

  • Premium paint now disappears when the premium account expires.
  • Fixed some defects in the display of map shadows.
  • Many improvements and fixes of anti-cheat (false positives of anti-cheat are possible, please let us know about them and other bugs you find, this will help us fix errors faster).
  • Fixed a bug with the rotation of the "Shaft" cannon with acceleration and freezing of the freeze.
  • Fixed a bug when a tank was destroyed at the moment of changing clothes in a battle and after respawning items were not put on.
  • And also fixed several small and invisible bugs.
  • Problems with the PayPal payment system have been fixed, buying crystals and premium through it now works.

18.05.2022 (Update #12)

  • Fixed a bug with freezing frieze player with acceleration. Now the speed of the tank will always be normal after thawing / player spawn.
  • Fixed a bug where the player could change in the format battle to other weapons, to perform some action.
  • Improved anti-cheat.

  • Rating. Now on the right side of the experience bar you can see your real position in the player rating. So far, this is the only thing available to the player, but in the future there will be a whole site with ratings and information about each tanker.
  • Fixed one of the main anti-cheat bugs.
  • Fixed a lot of "nameless" bugs.
  • Changes in the economy (yes, again).

08.03.2022 (Update #8)

  • Improved game pause. Now the tank of a player who is paused in battle won't spawn until the pause is removed.
  • Changing equipment in battle is now possible. You can also move from a battle to the list of battles or garage.
  • When entering the game, you can enter your attached email to login.
  • Fixed bugs.

18.02.2022 (Update #7)

  • Repair kit and Isida now remove burning and freezing effects caused by Firebird and Freeze respectively.
  • Fixed an annoying bug which caused product kits to be shown incorrectly. The list of kits in the garage available for purchase will be updated for all players;

15.02.2022 (Update #6)

  • A big update to the kits. Added 10 new kits and changed the mechanics of their randomness. Now getting a rank does not reset the timer, but gives the player one random set from the newly opened sets, without removing the past ones from his garage, unless they are no longer available to him by rank. Kits now disappear from sale one rank lower, which means you are much less likely to see useless kits for your rank in favor of more useful ones. M0, M1, and M2 kits now open one rank later. Thus, it becomes easier for the player to save up for a kit in a timely manner, and the donator will have less of an advantage. Combined with the lowering of the upper bar of kit availability by ranks, this significantly narrows the ranglimit of many kits, which means that at each particular rank they will be available a lot less, so that it will be much easier to get a particular kit you need in randome. Especially if you consider that the timer is not reset with the rank, which means that players will get the new three sets much more often.
  • New settings menu. The sections are now divided into tabs. There is a section with control settings, where you can configure mouse sensitivity and key bindings. "Flying damage" can now be disabled in the settings;
  • Improved anticheat;
  • Critical error will now appear less frequently;
  • Fixed several minor bugs, added new ones;
  • CP mode has been added to all maps except Duel, Ping-Pong and a few other minor maps.

06.02.2022 (Update #5)

  • Bonuses that fell in the battle before you entered it are now displayed correctly;
  • Fixed a hated bug with an infinite duration of supplies;
  • Fixed all problems with mines;
  • Fixed the "Friends" section - now it correctly displays incoming and outgoing requests;
  • When making an in-game purchase, a check is sent to the player's mail, not an empty message anymore;
  • Fixed a bug in the effect of obtaining a rank;
  • Chat ignore list now works correctly.

31.01.2022 (Update #4)

  • When re-entering the game, one death is now added to the player. It is now useless to use re-logging to keep a high D/S;
  • Fixed a bug with crystal crates and gold box in CP mode;
  • Redesign of paints. Resists and prices are brought to more correct values. The same goes for the ranks from which they are available. The average price, especially for high-level paints, has been greatly reduced. Paints that were moved to lower ranks, which caused them to become nerfed and their price dropped significantly, will be removed from players' garages, and their full price, which was before the update will be fully returned. We are talking about Tundra, Love, Savannah, Python, and Taiga;
  • When getting points for a kill, the hull of the enemy you killed is now taken into account. For shooting down a light tank you now get 20% less points and experience, and for shooting down a heavy tank on the contrary, 20% more. The same applies to the growth of the fund;
  • Tying account to Discord is now possible only from the rank of Master Corporal;
  • Dependence of funds on map size (max number of players on it) became even bigger, but just a little bit;
  • Turrets railgun and freeze m1 and m2 have been slightly changed. This concerns their characteristics, price and rank from which they are available;
  • Isis again significantly reduced the set of points and experience for treating allies. This may not be the last change and will continue until Isis no longer dominates team battles;
  • All m3 armaments have moved up one rank, and some have even moved up two ranks. Now the progression really resembles a flat and linear progression. The progression used to be purposely crumpled to marshal because the game lacked kits, but now, with their release, this is no longer required;
  • Gifts have been added to the game. Now, finally, all sections of the garage are filled with merchandise.

23.01.2022 (Update #3)

  • Improved anti-cheat system;
  • Added Brazilian localization;
  • Now, after 5 minutes of inactivity, the system will kick the player automatically;
  • Completely redesigned battle list. Now you can choose which game modes you want to see. Pro-battle now works correctly (disabling crystals, etc.). Player nicknames in lobby are now clickable. Fixed minor display errors;
  • The game now has a rank-limit. It was added at the request of players to reduce the pressure of high-level players on the less advanced;
  • Localization of the news displayed in the client when entering the game;
  • Slightly improved hulls physics;
  • Reduced recoil of Smoky and Twins turrets. Actually there was nothing wrong with them, the real error lies in the fact that now the hulls do not react quite adequately when the turrets affect them. This problem isn't easy to fix and we don't know when we'll be able to do it, so for now we've temporarily weakened the recoil of Smoky and Twins, as those turrets whose recoil is one of their strengths. On the rest of the turrets it's not critical, so they haven't been changed;
  • Isis now gets far fewer points for healing. The previous scoring formula was ill-conceived and didn't match the one Isis had in the old tanks;
  • Rebalanced melee turrets. Freeze and Firebird now have much weaker damage reduction at range, making them much more comfortable to play. Isis range has been reduced, but so slightly that if you didn't know about it, you wouldn't notice the difference;
  • The fund of the battle now grows the faster the greater the maximum number of players on the map. We are not talking about the parameter that the player can choose in the battle settings, but about the maximum number of players allowed on a given map in principle. This change will make large maps relevant again, rewarding the player for the fact that he, on such maps, has a long time to get from his respawn to the place of combat;
  • For team kills, more crystals now go to the battle fund, similar to points;
  • Points are now given not only for the delivery of the flag, but also for helping in the delivery;
  • Fixed some bugs with props and drop zones on maps;
  • Fixed bug with captcha;
  • Fixes for some minor bugs that aren't worth mentioning (but sometimes so annoying...), such as invisible ranks of players in your friends list.

02.01.2022 (Update #2)

  • The battle fund growth mechanic has been redesigned.
  • The map of Iran has been given a winter theme.
  • Fixed Fund/Experience in Capture the Flag/Control Points modes.

2021 year

28.12.2021 (Update #1)

  • Fixed a bug that caused players to buy weapon modifications at a price that didn't match that modification. All of the incorrectly purchased modifications on players' accounts were deleted, and the crystals spent on their purchase were returned to the players.
  • New ways to buy crystals were added.
  • Improved stability of the connection with the server. Ping has become less.
  • Experience for returning the flag was finalized;
  • CP mode has been fixed and returned;
  • Player battles overflowing has been fixed;
  • Inverted control of the tank was fixed; the inverted control of the tank was fixed;
  • Fixed some small bugs.
