Complaining about a player in battle

Imagine you are engaged in an exciting battle, but suddenly, another player begins breaking the game rules by using third-party software or engaging in sabotage. In this scenario, you should make a complaint against them.

To do so, simply type the following command in either the General or team battle chat:

/vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME

and press Enter.

For example, if the offender's nickname is Godmode_ON, you should write:

Votecommand.png

If more than 20-30% of the players in a battle make complaints about a specific offender, the offender's nickname and the battle they are participating in will be prominently displayed in bright yellow in the battle list, and further action will be taken by the moderators.

It may take the moderator some time to thoroughly investigate the situation, and having information on the reason for the complaint will aid in understanding the issue. However, it is important to note that a player may face consequences, including a ban, for falsely summoning a moderator. The offender is defined as the player who fails to comply with the game rules.

It is important to remember the following points:

  • To issue a complaint, simply type the command "/vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME" and press enter. Then, all you have to do is wait.
  • Use the "/vote" command to complain about an offender only during battles, as it has no effect in the lobby chat.
  • The command "/vote OFFENDER_NICKNAME" must be written exactly as written. Any discrepancies, such as an extra space or a different symbol, will result in the command failing. If the command is successful, a message saying "The Complaint has been successfully sent" will appear at the top of the screen.
  • Moderators can only see events and activities in battles from the moment they join, and do not have an activity log. Therefore, it's crucial to quickly issue a complaint about the offender.
  • An offender's name will only be highlighted in yellow if enough complaints have been made about them. Don't assume that one or two complaints are enough.
  • A complaint is considered valid as long as both the offender and those who made the complaint remain in the battle. If someone leaves, the complaint is reset.
  • Avoid making false complaints about players who have not broken any rules. All complaints are logged and thoroughly reviewed by moderators. Making a false complaint could result in punishment.

Complaining about a player via the Discord server

Battle rule violators

If a moderator did not attend your battle, you can submit evidence of rule violations on the ProTanki Discord server in the special channel #🚨violations.

Before proceeding, make sure that the player in question is indeed breaking the rules.

1. Collect evidence: The best proof is a video from the game that clearly shows the violation. A series of screenshots can also be used as evidence. Please keep the following in mind:

  • Screenshots and videos taken no more than a week ago are accepted.
    • For violations during battles, only evidence from within the battle will be accepted, as evidence from outside the battle, such as from the general chat, does not clearly indicate what the player did wrong.
  • The quality of the video and screenshots must allow for easy reading of the nicknames and clear viewing of the ranks of the participants. The video must NOT be edited.
  • When creating a video to report sabotage, the creator must not violate the rules of the game. All sabotage complaints will be considered for ALL battle participants, without exception, including the creator of the video.

Sabotage

Requirements for submitted videos:

  • Actions intended to interfere with the team that the user is fighting for: The video must be between 5 to 15 minutes long and must clearly show the player's actions, with as complete a view of the battle as possible (e.g. frequently standing on pause, deliberately ignoring opponents, taking away the flag, not helping to deliver the enemy flag, shooting at his own team, pushing, turning over, not responding to requests to move away, etc.). Remember to also show battle statistics by using the Tab key.
  • Collusion (teaming) with players from the opposing team: The video should also be between 5 to 15 minutes long and must show evidence of collusion, not just a single instance but several instances (e.g. not shooting the opponent, standing on the opponent's base with their flag, etc.). Combat statistics also play a significant role. When submitting a complaint, include the nicknames of all players who were colluding to speed up the processing of the complaint.

Requirements for submitting screenshots:

  • Intentional omission: Provide screenshots with battle statistics and a time difference of 3 to 5 minutes where the player's omission can be seen.

Attention! Proving sabotage through screenshots alone is much more difficult, so it is always recommended to record a video.

Using third-party software (cheats)

Requirements for submitted videos:

The video submitted must clearly show the player using third-party software, and the offender's nickname must be visible. The video should not exceed 15 minutes in length, and it is also important to include the link to the battle where the violation took place.

Requirements for submitted screenshots:

For submitted screenshots, they should clearly demonstrate the use of third-party software, but it should be noted that in-game chat is considered circumstantial evidence and cannot be used to make a determination on its own.

2. Send a new message in the channel #🚨violations.

  • The author of the message must match the author of the evidence.
  • The message should include the player's nickname and the type of violation, for example: "Lexitoo - sabotage" or "tankistmika - cheater".
  • The evidence (screenshots or videos) should also be included, along with important details and information.
    • It is important not to try to present the situation in a way that is advantageous to you. Such attempts can only result in a delayed decision on the complaint and should be avoided. Only provide the evidence and essential details.

What happens next?

  • As soon as a moderator determines that there is sufficient evidence to prove a player's guilt, the player will be punished with the assistance of the developers or the technical support team.
  • The magnitude of the punishment will be determined by the administration of the project and may range from a warning to a fine in crystals, a temporary or permanent ban on chat access, or a complete block of game access.
  • Please be aware that a resolution to your complaint may not be immediate and require patience. Rest assured, however, that all violators will be punished regardless.

Attention! It is crucial to maintain evidence of any violations in published posts for at least one week, which is the period during which a player may appeal their punishment.

Chat Violators

Screenshots that violate chat rules, such as foul language, insults, links to malware/third-party software, or phishing, should be reported in the designated channel, #🚨violations.

How to make a complaint sufficient enough so that it is accepted and the offender is punished:

1. The screenshot or video must clearly demonstrate a violation of the rules.

2. Gather evidence, including clear and easily readable screenshots that show the names and ranks of the individuals involved in the violation.

  • Only screenshots with open battle chat (opened by pressing Enter) are accepted.
  • Screenshots will only be accepted if they are full-sized and unmodified, including a clear display of the top status bar with the author's nickname, the full battle chat without cuts or deletions, and the author's nickname must match the message's author. Otherwise the moderator may refuse to consider the complaint.
  • Screenshots older than 7 days will not be considered.

3. Report the violation by sending a message in the #🚨violations channel.

  • The message must include the player's nickname and the nature of the offence. For example: "1234567gtq - insults" or "123Gold123 - phishing advertisement".
  • The message should also include evidence (screenshots).
